Second Chances
Like money, time, and stress,
Second chances don’t exist.
It’s a man made-up commodity
Minds are programmed to insist.
Every chance a building block;
It’s how it’s supposed to be.
Each attempt an education;
To keep trying is the key.
Learning just what doesn’t work,
Or why the road’s not clear,
Firsts, or seconds, thirds are not,
It’s the product that is dear.
Second chances don’t exist
In relationship or dice.
Everything that happens
Is supposed to.. such is life.
