Embattled Warrior
Strong and silent He came from the ancients His courage empowered the men at his feet The bridle A fortress of kindness A clarion armor made dominion complete He was justified With passionate conviction The mighty were taken by his sword to the grave He grieved Each fallen opponent and prayed for the families for loss of their brave. I saw anguish He loved me by candle Gaining strength to endure all that he might A lover’s bastion Exalted his nature Returned to the combat in the mourning of light
