Before I joined WDC I was struggling to be a writer. However, my membership here and subsequent interactions with friends has strengthened my writing and given me a more authoritative writer's voice. The metamorphosis took on a dramatic twist after the Sunrise Class last semester. I haven't posted most of the stories I've been able to create though, but I know there's been a discernible improvement in my general approach to story writing.

Still I do believe there remains some striking qualities that my writings lack. I'm, in no mean measure, hindered by these 'little foxes' that are obstacles on my path to Writer's Paradise.*Smile*

My worry goes deeper than the quantity of my writing (though this is inclusive) to a lack of real depth, a style of writing that TELLS more than it SHOWS, and a struggle to classify which genre my writing falls under.

I've gained a little footing in the Sunrise class and I'm hoping that at the end of this semester, I'll truly be able to transform all the screaming imaginations/inspirations begging for release into breathing words;
To make extra landmarks in my pursuit of a well-rounded writing style;
And acquire the tools I need to weave original yet, believable characters and plots.

I think I also need a reservoir of writing vocabulary. It's something I hope to achieve through the Reading Assignments.
