Dream King
The thorny branches reach and scratch the sky The sun has left and night has come it seems And I’m in dreamless fighting through the night Remembering the dream is always strife Like sand my dreams will drift within my head But I can bear in mind the ending dream I dreamed a kingdom ruled by sovereign wraith Who wants to reign the best of all regimes. The king of all: the sick, the sad, the strong The moon appears to be a hole up high A dream a school to bring the wise some cheer I know because I felt it in my dream I bear in mind the dream that I revere. Upon his mind my Soul would now bestow A crown alive with gladiola swords They bloom although they died a month ago They bloom upon his head although they’re dead The blooms exemplify what I had known The moon opens a hole up in the sky In institution called the dream I find He wants to be the king of all my dreams To build a lake of joy around his throne A monument of sand upon the beach A dream a school to learn the way of life The light pours through to reach my open eye The morning sun becomes a guiding light. Reveals a field of squash and hollow gourds The red of rose against the fluff of green The birds cooperate upon a limb I know because the dream I bear in mind. The light has caused my mind to now unwind Return to sleep is now within my reach The business of the birds alive in song They tweet and orchestrate a hymn. I learned to listen with a certain gait Improves the pruning as I conjugate Remembering the dream is always strife I dreamed a kingdom ruled by sovereign wraith With crown alive with gladiola swords He wants to be the king of all my dreams The birds cooperate upon a limb They tweet, and orchestrate a hymn.
