From the cry of the child, the shadow comes forth
and rises in another to find new wealth
but there seems a problem something admit
the child seems to want to fight and only have fits.

The happy shadow was not like this
not so angry with vengeance to behold
for a shadow is there to mimic and not control
not one to pull and be so bold.

But the shadow could not just simply sit on and sigh
from the years of infancy soon slipped by
and into childhood the shadow went
with its nasty counterpart throwing those fits.

Something had to be done just had to you see
and as the figure grew the harder it would be
so pulling and tugging into a closet the figure went
locking the door for some time to be spent.

The young figure cried but the shadow soon silenced that
sweet sleep found the figure and the shadow begun it's chant
for in all of us, there is a hidden light
that the shadow is bound by every day and even night.

But without that light the shadow could be free
and knowing this it worked tirelessly
to get the light and have as its own
to no longer be bound and have a fate to be unknown.

The figure fell from the closet feeling cold and distraught
looking back at the place of the onslaught
and at the shadow who had once been barley seen
the child now saw and let out a bloodcurdling scream.

For the shadow had acquired the child's light
as was the intended plan that was set out in plight
but with it came the child's pain and vengeance
that soon dwarfed the shadows gentle views as it found potence

The feeling of the sweet release
standing over the child who now seemed at peace
the shadow formed a little grin
for other shadows should feel this and be free of the binds within.

So the shadow sets out hell bent
to free the shadows of people who are not content
and the shadows it let's go free
feel no sadness for quite of the lifeless bodies.

Another and another the shadows dismember
for the people are all evil and should be surrendered
the shadow gains power and finds happiness
until the sound of a shadow crying who should be in bliss.

The shadow was content with the little body held dear
but was torn and still brought to be reared
the shadow looked down with pain in its eyes
for once torn the same could not simply reprise.

The shadow had not planned this path
it looked to the others to release its wrath
but wrath of a shadow is impossible you see
the shadows knew this and laughed mockingly.

It was then in that moment the shadow knew it must impute
it pulled the shadows along in pursuit
for to the hospitals and mothers they went
and were pulled into new bodies in hopes to be content.

And many found content and happiness you see
maybe the fits were only temporally
the shadows found bliss and lay aboard
their lights fading into the bodies that they adored.

Is this a warning or simply a path of glee
for a child or an adult look closely
is their shadow happy and filled with content
or is it being pulled asunder filled with regret?

In either the case take time to be
a shadow to those around you and me
to take an interest in each other's plight
and watch for shadows who want to take the light.
