In the dark of night,
with costume bright, little bobby worked alone. With a bag full of sweets and a ghostly old sheet, his mind lay full of the unknown. He walked his route, in search of loot, his eyes as wide as saucers. Until shaking with fright, he stepped in the light, of the haunted house on the corner. He slowed his pace, his heart in a race, and knocked the door a-tremble. From inside, came a creaking, set his pants to a-leaking, and he fled as his nerve lost the gamble. Behind him, unseen, dear old Mrs Green, sighed as she reached the doorway. For, every Halloween, boys and girls set to running, before seeing the treats on her tray.
