The main character is called Eleanor, she is a young elven mage. Men have been spotted in the Elve's forest cutting down the trees, specifically targeting the huge ancient trees, the ones that communicate with their mages through dreams.

This is going to be a novel of 10 chapters, each about 6000 words long.

Eleanor will set out from her home deep in the forest, prepared to hate the enemy, the humans, and the barren lives they lead.
At first, it all goes as she expects, until, against her better judgment, she begins to see humans as people in their own right. That some have a sense of honour that even elves would admire, while others are greedy, and some are downright evil.
The premise of the story is all about travelling to new countries and learning; learning that people are people everywhere, even to unwittingly falling in love with the man you initially thought was your enemy.
