Heaven's Gateway

She stands at a magic doorway
where joy and happiness reign;
her heart beats with fascination,
gazing on this heavenly plane.

The skies are filled by God’s glory,
a beauty that’s hard to behold,
more enchanted than a fairy story
with treasures of silver and gold.

In awe, she looks through this portal,
a safe haven of hope and peace
and wonders if she, a mortal
will be greeted with love that won’t cease.

She stares in anticipation
at this wonderful world she has found
for it’s here that there’s celebration
to life which she’s eternally bound.

Stepping through this splendid gateway,
she is welcomed with open arms
for she has joined her godly family
and is now safe from all alarms.
