Each year in October, I have a daunting task. It’s all in the selection. “Why is this?” you may ask. The perfect size and shape are factors in my cause. Solid color all around must prevail, without flaws. I gaze at the product to see what I can see what traits should I give it to form personality. With the first incision, I finally dig in. To create my masterpiece I’ll give it a big grin! Slimy seeds and orange pulp soon pile upon my plate. I fashion eyes that will glow and shine. Wow, it looks great! Carefully the nose grows into a noble shape; a mouth with fangs all pointed; think I will need a cape! When I am all finished Orange Frankenstein, I see. Placing a flashlight inside, he lights up perfectly. He will rule his kingdom The best king I have seen! Until his reign is over… it ends on Halloween. Next year I’ll start over. Until then I will plan the best old jack-o-lantern ever seen in this land! 36lines
