Swirling in a depressive sea, drowning in my river of tears. I explode to release my fears. Hey, are you listening to me? Broken heart, longing to be free, from the cruel torment it suffered. Years, with no healing words muttered. Hey, are you listening to me? No support for this growing tree. Laughing when I stumble or fall, making me feel tiny and small. Hey, are you listening to me? Loved princess, all I wished to be. Your selfish nature free of chains, absorbed in self gain still remains. Hey, are you listening to me? I cannot feel sorrow for thee. Your silence, infuriating; your self pity is, frustrating. Hey, are you listening to me? 20 lines. Prompt: Write a story or poem about arguing with someone or something that doesn't respond (or even understand). Form: The Kyrielle form is very flexible, in that there are only three basic rules: (1) written in rhyming quatrains (4-line stanzas), (2) the last line of each stanza is repeated throughout the entire poem, and (3) each line has only 8 syllables.
