Urdu:  Aek ja herf e wafa likhha so wo bhee mit gaya
          Zaahiren kaaghaz teray khat ka ghalatberdaar tha

English:=== The word sincerity I think you wrote
                  Then why was it rubbed off from your note?
                                            -

Urdu:  Jee jalay zoaq e fana ki naatamaami per na kuin
          Hum naheen jaltay, nafas herchand aatishbaar tha

English:=== I cannot believe when I'm breathing fire
                  That it's not burning my body entire
                                            -

Urdu:  Aag say paani maen bujhtay waqt uthhti hay sada
          Her koie dermaandgi maen naalay say naachaar hay

English:=== All things make noise when you roast them or fry
                  But I always stay silent; I don't even cry
                                              -

Urdu:  Hay wohi badmasti e her zarra ka khud uzrkhaah
          Jis kay jalway say zameen ta aasmaan sershaar hay

English:=== The presence of God makes the earth feel drunk
                  And to the moon and stars gives all their spunk
                                              -

Urdu:  Mujh say mat keh too hamaen kehta tha apni zindagi
          Zindagi say bhee mera jee in dinoun baizaar hay

English:=== O when with my life I'm in such despair
                  To call you my life,it doesn't seem fair

Urdu:  Aankh ki tasweer sernaamay pay khainchi hay keh ta
          Tujh pay khul jaaway keh is ko hasrat e deedaar hay

English:=== And in my letter I have put my eyes
                  So when you read, they say - surprise, surprise!
