                                                        Memories so clear seem etched in glass.

                                                        Yesterday, last week, last month, last year,

                                                          Til my last day on earth  I promise to

                                                          laugh at the good times, forget the bad,

                                                          Times before illness took over your life,

                                                          Aching from sadness, seeing youre strife,

                                                          Struggling to walk, to talk, to explain,

                                                          How you were feeling, constant the pain.







                                                        The day did come that you struggled no more,

                                                          Leaving behind family you adore.

                                                          Grief was too raw, too private to share,

                                                          Sorrow not sweet, just harsh and unfair







                                                          Days into weeks, months into years,

                                                          Time healing scars that once were so clear.

                                                          Less painful memories, of my sweet Dad,
