Lesson 4—Part Two

I saw these people at Wal-Mart. The air was cold and well circulated, so I didn't notice any smells at all.

1.          A young black man with close-cut hair and a silver stud in his ear, wearing a Langston Lions (local college) sweatshirt was arguing with the self-checkout computer.
2.          Three generations were shopping together.  The older woman was about 5’7” or 5’8”.  She had short brown hair with a one-inch swath of gray across the front.  She had a slightly wrinkled face.  The younger woman was in her twenties with shoulder length brown hair, turned under at the ends.  She was just a little shorter,  5’5” or 5’6”.  She had a smooth face and blue eyes, like the baby.  The baby had no hair and no teeth, but a big smile behind the pacifier.  It was wearing a yellow bib.
3.          A heavy set older man in his late sixties with thin, steel gray hair, wearing a beige button-up shirt was sitting in an electric cart frowning at the onion in his hand.  His basket was empty except for a frozen Digiornio pizza.  His cheeks were slightly pink with red dots.
4.          A teenage boy with greasy looking, uncombed hair was walking with a teenage girl.  He was swinging his arms wildly and with each swing he called out “jerk, jerk.”  He was wearing ball cap.  The girl was smiling but had very pink cheeks.
5.          A medium build man in his early seventies was riding in an electric cart.  He had full, soft looking very white hair and a big smile.
6.          A man about fifty in cowboy boots and a green ball cap with no logo walked by.  His books clacked as he walked.
7.          A heavy set woman in her late 40s in an electric cart had a very full basket, packages under her feet and on her lap and two children’s cowboy hats, one on top of the other, on her head.  Her cheeks were quite red and she had short, straight dark hair.  Her cart hummed as she steered it toward the checkout line.
8.          A man in his late fifties, with deep wrinkles and a dark tan was a wearing paint spattered tee-shirt and khaki pants.
9.          A thin, young woman in her twenties with short brown hair and a three-quarter sleeve light brown sweater had a sleeping child in a carrier in her cart.
10.          A very tall, very thin, young black woman in her twenties wearing a clingy mauve sweater was purchasing disposable diapers and baby wipes.  She had very long silky looking black hair.
