It’s a quarter to twelve.
All is most quiet. In just fifteen minutes, there will be a riot. The ghosts and the goblins will rise in the mists, and ghoulish vampires look for victims to kiss. A werewolf’s howl is heard throughout the dark night sending waves of goose bumps and cold chills of fright. Headless horsemen will ride on missions of gore. Great monsters are roaming, while witches will soar. It’s the bewitching hour on All Hallow’s Eve. Tonight in my nightmare there’ll be no reprieve. Mom tucked me in my bed a few hours ago. I still can’t go to sleep for these visions of woe! If I dare close my eyes to get me some rest the thing in my closet will jump on my chest! My eyelids are heavy! I don’t want a scare! But, I won’t go to sleep I’ll sit here and stare! 32 lines
