Fanciful poem reflecting very real emotion.

The sky is crying for you,
The wind whipping 'round the evergreens
Setting up a dismal song
A mourning song
For you

The earth is weeping
Weeping with you
For you,
You and your lost

Gone forever now
Gone like the crop from the fields at harvest time
Gone like yesterday
And tomorrow will never come now,
Not now

Hear the wailing of the wind,
And take a small comfort from it
The wind feels your pain
For the wind is eternally lost,
Restless, always searching
Trying to find--to regain--what it lost
So long ago

Someday this moment will be long ago
But you will never forget
No, you will never forget,
Because the sky will remind you,
And the wind
And the sorrow,
That you will grow to live with, but never forget
For once there was sun!
But now there is rain and wind
Empty wind

Fly away, wind! And take me with you
O'er the valleys golden
And the fields bright with dew
Fly away! We will seek together,
What we have lost

What we will never find again
