Saving Her.

So I wrote this a few days ago and am now just putting it up. Reviews would be amazing.


I've always thought of myself as her protector.
But every time she falls for him,
I can't seem to protect her.

Cuz he keeps coming around,
and everything I've said becomes void,
the words lay bare on the ground.

I want to save her, from him and from herself.
To hold her from the nighttime,
to have her for myself.

But he keeps coming back around, winning her back.
When will she see,
I have the thing that he lacks?

She says he'll love her no matter what she'll do,
but those are only words.
He can't back them up like I do.

But he keeps coming around
and everything I say becomes void,
the words lay there open on the ground.

I love her more than he ever can.
She just can't see
that he's only gonna hurt her again.

I'd give everything I am and
be everything she wants
to be the one to hold her hand.

I wanna be the one to hold her with the light of day falls,
keep her safe from danger,
love her, flaws and all.

But he's coming back around.
Everything I said becomes once again void.
My words fall to the ground.

Will she ever be mine??
