Trick or Treat?

An armada of creatures assaults us
With only one purpose in mind.
Just when we think we are finished
Here comes another long line.

They groan and they shriek and they moan, too!
An endless onslaught of undead.
It seems to go on forever
I’m going out of my head!

Creatures, monsters and mummies are dashing.
From every direction they come.
There must be a bus parked somewhere.
I think I will soon succumb!

I am running low on my supplies now.
I’ve already pulled out reserves.
Some faces look familiar.
Sometimes they come back. What nerve!

But, next year I vow I’ll do different.
These candy snatchers I will foil
Instead of chocolate and cookies
I’ll give them cod liver oil!
