My Prayer

Dear God, this is my humble prayer:
Bless these my friends everywhere.

They have become part of my family
These wonderful people at WDC.

They have welcomed this stranger, who was unknown,
as one of their members. Such kindness they’ve shown!

They have guided me gently, giving reviews.
Some have shared insights to their points of view.

A fledgling writer started out as a guest
who wrote in secret, now writes here with the best.

Thank you, for these authors from all walks of life.
Watch over them daily, and save them from strife.

They’ve asked me to become a “Rising Star.”
I know without you, I wouldn’t have gotten this far!

And, Lord, if you please, find it in your will,
Allow me to learn from their awesome skill.

Please keep them safe in all that they do.
In all of these things, God, I will praise you!
