Dakoda has begun to feel frustrated and ready to give up. His dream of farm life has been real and nothing like what he'd imagined. It had all started out fun, the cows and chickens, little plants to eat fresh from the ground. But that had gone and all that remained is work, very difficult work with many problems always coming up with each attempt.
He takes a break in the barn, trying to figure out what to do and wishing he could go home. A man comes over, with some rags from cleaning out a type of farm equipment. He is much like Dakoda's father and gives him some good advice. He goes back to work.
Later the bell rings, and in the kitchen is a woman like his mother with wonderful food for a hard working farmer, Dakoda.
