Glass Garden

Thoughts planted in my glass garden,
placed so carefully, so caringly.
Fragile musings, so easily broken:
transparent petals of beauty.

A bouquet of porcelian roses.
a rainbow of shimmering sunflowers,
a prism of glimmering poises,
and here and there, glistening wildflowers.

Crystal lilies on sapphire waters,
emerald daisies through luscious fields:
thoughts that make my garden brighter,
sparkling and gleaming. Is this real?

Then, all of a sudden,
the flowers shatter to the floor,
and, until my lovely, manic musing bloom again,
my elegant, glass garden is no more.
