The desert in fall stays so warm
Well into October it's hot. There is no Jack Frost to cause harm And freeze plants and color the lot. Still, pumpkins and leaves fill most spots Like stores, homes and schools in climes cold. Parents tear their hair, o'er garb fraught, 'Til wee ghosts and goblins come bold. The form requirements for the Huitain are as follows: eight lines, with eight syllables per line and a rhyme scheme of: ababbcbc.
