She floated down the stairs, looking, searching. He had to be around here somewhere, right? At the end of the steps she took a left into the study, then a right, into the living room. Ah ha, there he was. She went up to the spot he was kneeling on the couch and called to him in a flitty voice. “Raaaaanndy.”
He looked up, and she saw his bloodshot eyes and hard face. “What do you want?”
She knelt down beside him putting a pale hand on his shoulder. “Oh, come on now. What's the matter?”
“What's the matter!? I just spent all night explaining myself to the General, all because of what you did, that's what's the matter!”
She started to speak, but stopped when a figure appeared in the door. Shoot, it was his maid.
“Master Randy? Are you all right? Who are you talking to?”
He sighed and got up from his position, moving over to where the maid stood. “The Lord. Now do you mind leaving me be?”
The maid nodded and left the room, leaving Randy standing over by the door. “That's another thing,” he said as he started to pace, “what's the big idea that only I can see you and nobody else?”
She smiled. “Love potion #9.”
He stopped. “Love pot- No. No, that's not what it is. Not at all.”
“Then what is it?”
“Mind control. All ghosts do it, don't they? You've brainwashed me, made me see things. Well I won't take it any longer.”
She laughed and floated to where he stood, flying around him in circles. Her eyes turned red and her smile sinister. “Brainwash, mind control. Hehehehehe!”
He looked up at her, panic starting to form on his face. “Hey! What's the big idea? Stop it!”
She continued circling, continued taunting. Soon, her voice turned into many voices, until it sounded as if a thousand people we're in the room. “Can't escape Raaandy. Can't ever escape! Try as you might you won't be able to make it! Brainwash, mind control. Hehehehehe!”
