WEEK FOUR: The Journey

POET: Jennyj: SCHEMING STRENGTH
PARTNER-POET: Puja: GOLDEN WORDS INSCRIBED

1. THE JOURNEY: Responsive Poetry Exercise

This inital response is not reviewing. It is a "response:"
"What does this poem inspire in you?"
This is a delightful poem that makes my spirit want to dance with joy at the thoughts it evokes--that of enthusiastic expression.

"What does this poem say to you?"
Poem with abandon,. Have fun with your words as you explore the space you are filling; fill it with meaning!

"What do you hear?"
I hear freedom lighting on a smile!

"Where does it take you?"
It takes me to a quiet place with my muse, who wants to re-read it, accompanied by music.

"What does it 'make' you want to write yourself?"
I want towrite a response based on what the poem tells me to do: I am going to write it as a hai-five, a form that I've either made up or adopted somewhere along the way.

WORDS

Words cascade out loud
pouring out ln bright rivers
echoing my heart.

Echoing my heart,
following along my path;
freedom starting now!

Freedom, starting now
calls me to awake anew
lost amid my thoughts!

Lost amid my thoughts,
writing heart-felt phrases, bold!
Pieces from my soul!

Pieces from my soul
trying to come forth in air--
words cascade out loud!
