Patty Cakes (Sally May)
Something sinister lurks within a child's rhyme.

Oh Sally May, May, may
From yesterday, day, Day
What to say, say, “say”
To Sally May, May, may

She said no surprise, prise, prize
I realize, lize, lies
That when I reach high, high, “Hi”
I touch the sky, sky, Skye

But when you talk, talk, talk
And are sent to walk, walk, walk
Then you rock, rock, rock
About the block, block, block

But when you block, block, block
That final swing, swing, swing
Then Daddy Sings, sings, sings
And every thing, thing, thing
Goes to black, black, black
And it’s a fact, fact, fact
She ain’t never goin’ back, back, back
No, she ain’t never goin’ back, back, back
