After MUCH ruminating, I have decided that Andrew & Abby Borden (while most definitely supporting characters) are not important to the story enough—other than dying.
First Supporting Character John Vinnicum Morse Born: 1833 Died: 1912 His business is the buying, selling & training of horses. Considered Andrew Borden’s only true friend and confidant, he moves west suddenly before Alice is born. Returns annually for short summer visits He teaches both Emma & Lizzie how to drive a carriage in their youth He was back east for the first family row in 1887—when Andrew bought half of Abby’s sister’s house and gave it to Abby He is moving back east after a extended absence and is a quest at the Borden home the night before the murders. He has a flawless alibi the morning of the murders. He is @ 6’ tall Big and powerful—not heavy; an imposing figure He has a large, flat head made very square by how he trims his beard He is a man who has secrets—both his own and others
