Driving over an endless red road,
Extending far beyond the impossible horizon;
And there is nothing- nothing out here.

Each window paints an identical picture.
Uniform grey foliage; distant run-down fences.
We shudder over cattle grids- Where are the beasts to keep in?

Thickening grey clouds reach to eternity;
Rising slowly to greet them is the amber dust,
Kicked up behind us; as we roll ever onwards over this endless red road.
