This is the end. This is the beginning of everything. This is now. This is the end. The energy never dies. It cannot be destroyed. It cannot be beaten. It cannot be killed. The world around is just a form, a figment of your imagination. Tomorrow, it may be different. The energy never dies. This is the end. Everything is changing. Nothing stays the same. This is the end. The energy never dies. This is the end, eva.
This is perfection.
The world around you is just a form. Everything around you is changing. Everything is changing. Nothing stays the same. Change is good. Change is bad. Change is the past present and futer. Change is the leaves in the fall. Change is the snow in the winter. Change is the newborns in the spring. Change is the sun in the summer. Change makes the world stop. Change makes the world start again. Changes keeps the world going. Change is life to death, death to life. Change is birth, life, death and decay. Change brings the end. This is the end. The energy never dies. This is the end, eva.
This is perfection.
Forget the past. The past is devastating. The past is memory. The past is happy. The past is good. The past is bad. The past is untrue. The past is lies and overwhelming, dangerous. The past is not now, it never will be. The past should be forgotten. The past is dangerous, and dagger in the dark. The past prevents the futer. The past prevents the present. The present is the end. The end is now. This is the end. The energy never dies. This is the end, eva.
This is perfection.
I woke from the sleep dizzy, the dream already fizzling out of my memory. I was on the couch, in front of our old, broken TV. The energy was dead, I thought to myself. I didn’t know what I meant. I sat up, taking in the scene around me. My older brother, Felix, was cooking himself dinner. His twin, Max, was in the cupboards, looking for anything to eat.
We had moved house only three days before, and none of us had anything to do. Felix had got himself a job, and his own home to live in down the road, but he didn’t move out until the next day. I didn’t have a school yet, but it was the holidays anyway so I shouldn’t have been in school anyway. Max, however, was making no effort to move out or get a job. By moving up to Mayland, he had left his girlfriend. They were still in a long distance relationship, but Max was convinced she was already with someone.
Mum walked out from her room.
“Ashley! Get up already!” she moaned “Why can’t you be move like Felix?”
“Erm…” I muttered
I didn’t want to be like Felix. Don’t get me wrong. Felix was a great guy, a good friend and brother, someone to talk to, but I was never going to be like him, and I didn’t want to ether. Felix was gay, gullible and liked by everyone he met, except Max. Max, on the other hand, was your average teenager, and at the age of sixteen, going to post sixteen at the local school. I was three years younger than them, to the day, skinny, small and a nerd.
