Subject: Sense Exercise Fixed--Use this one! (fwd)

Jenny,
Because of your personal circumstances you are not able to actively participate in some of the assignments for the Sunrise course. Meaning, because your physical environment is limited to the immediate area, you do not have the opportunity to reach out and place yourself in different sensory settings.
You write about what you do experience in your surroundings, your cats, the meals you enjoy, etc.
This is fine but since your environment has limitations, it is hampering your practice with sensory imagery.

I really want to help you learn how to add sensory imagery to your work and think I may have found the answer.
Rixy, my assistant, has a really cool exercise she is sharing with us that I believe will help you understand the concept of lesson 4.
Take a look at the exercise below. Copy and paste the directions into your own PC and then practice the exercise. I believe this is going to really help you get comfortable with adding sensory imagery to your work.

I would like you to submit at least 10 sentences to me in an email showing me how you applied the exercise and the final sentences you came up with.

Let me know if you have any problems understanding the directions for the exercise.
Diane

Here is a generic copy of the steps above. Copy and paste the steps below into your writing program and get practicing!I hope you will try this with at least one of your sentences and let me know how it went for you. Step 2: Locate the first noun: ___________________________________
Step 3: Close your eyes and picture/taste/touch the __________
