The sun was green, the grass was blue,
I said, "Whoa!", and the dog did too. I knew this was crazy and I looked askance, but couldn't say no when he asked me to dance. The cat was annoyed and kept complaining, "These dreams of yours are just so draining." She wanted to sleep, just to get to bed, but was quickly coerced into dancing instead. The trees were loud, saying they wished they could fly, The clouds just giggled and told them to try. I saw the forest floating; now that was baffling. It seems my world was quickly unraveling. All too soon my dream went away, But I knew how to make it stay. I got out of bed as fast as I could, and grabbed my pen like a good writer should.
