A Blurred Vision

                                                 By Alexis R. Osborne

I awoke with a start,
Drool hanging from my lip.
I reached for the couch,
But grabbed only worn sneakers.
I threw them with force
The thump made me jump.
My foot slid on the Lysol
Which rolled and hit the wall
My butt throbbed from the fall.
I pulled myself up
And reached for my glasses.
While positioning them,
I stumbled towards the bathroom,
and upon reaching it,
I began to laugh at my childishness.
It wasn’t a monster or a ghost,
Just a watermelon in my white porcelain sink.
