My Plea

Under moonlit sky, she quietly waits.
Looking to stars to determine her fate -
the stars twinkle, but do not utter a clue
to her Destiny or to what she should do.

Raising her head and uttering her plea,
it is her desperate nature -- she wants to flee,
but God has spoken to her weary heart.
He has offered a brand new start.

A shooting star catches tear-filled eye,
a confirmation that God is close by.
No longer will she have to battle alone;
angels near by-- from the heavens they've flown.

It is her choice now; to stay or to go.
What her answer will be, only God knows.
Love around her is beaming bright,
if she will choose to embrace the light.

Child, what is it you plan to do?
Why do you count your blessings so few?
Take God's hand and let Him lead you
to the most perfect love you ever knew.
