A Bright Future
The transition from high school to college
Rated:

Avg Rating: (3)
Baby girl, look in the mirror
Before the cracks grow any wider
Try to gaze beyond the surface
Don't be afraid of an outsider

Think of high school as a fun house
Getting lost within the mouse maze
Reflections are cookie-cutter or disfigured
No need to conform to every shallow craze

Now it's time to pull your hair up
Serious issues are now pressing
Carefree days will soon be over
Seize these last months, they're a blessing

Don't want to strike out in the big league
These are the moments that will count most
A bright future is just around the corner
But that doesn't mean you get to boast

The time has come to send you off
Spread out your wings and prepare to fly
High school is coming to a close
It's time to say the tough goodbye
