NEW PROMPT:} Write about a child with a unique - but offensive - Halloween costume. What's the costume, why is it offensive, and what's done about it?

SHOCKING SIGHT!!

I saw a gross, scary costume--it came up to my door.
The child who was wearing it was only about four.
The reason that it looked so gross was all the blood and gore!
The kid's too young to understand the costume that he wore.

The costume, covered with frog parts was highly rank to smell
and even though the lad was cute, he didn't wear it well.
What he intended to display with those. I could not tell--
but I am sure they came leaping from the depths of frog hell!

Gave him a treat and wiped his face and asked him for his name.
I don't know who dressed him so, but he is not to blame!
He tried to touch my lit pumpkin--he went straight for the flame,
then burned his hand and dropped it quick; he didn't like that game!

He jumped and all the frog parts fell--the heap was rather tall.
He moved to get away from them--he stepped into my hall;
he heard the phone ring in the house and asked if he could call
his mom, 'cause it was getting late; (it was twilight in fall.)

His mom drove up, all flustered, and inquired who I was;
I asked her who had dressed him up, I was concerned because
the frightful, nasty frog-part mess on his clothes gave me pause
but she then snapped at me that she had broken no known laws!

That tacky suit her kid was in was gonna have to stay!
Unfortunately in her mind, he was just out to play!
I asked her if she let him dress that way to play each day,
but she turned, snarled angrily, and dragged her son away!!
