Sworn a duty to uphold
there are many that are sold be it for favor or green some have trouble keeping clean To serve and protect they make a stand to wield power with vice in hand to bend the rules and change the game to fill the shoes is not the same move the pegs and plant the smack lock on shed now ready for mac The badge of honor has a smudge many lawmen holding grudge be it race or color be it fear or uncertainty errors made errors covered make for strife in community It's not about the man in blue it's about all of them that rule to have the power to bring one down then make adjustments to the crown the uniform is like an authority booster that swells the head and makes a loser of all of us that follow the plain of righteousness There are many don't get me wrong that pay the piper for a song if your honor slays you pride and the onus weighs you down maybe walk elsewhere to drop the stones born again a new profession found
