Gone Mum

I fought what's called sleep again;
Rolled in pain throughout the night.
No reason for me to dream;
Vanished peace to feel alright.

I woke again this morning,
Empty hope my only sight.
The angels won't believe me;
God gone mum again outright.

I should have been your lover;
Hard I prept to be your dream.
But my cold nights are horror;
Salty tears are much to real.

Cold sweat is mine forever.
I vomit more than should be.
Days are a dwindling number;
I could have been your lover.

Hallowed silence soon I'll sleep;
Now, God's face is mine to see.
