The General
Swallow that pill and burn that guitar. I've been driving for miles just to show that I meant well. The generals back soon- don't let him off. Get the sisters in line and a table for glasses. Down by the canal all you can see are the eyes. Smoke rises till dawn, but nobody went there. Inside the motels the beds rattle all night. Cars leave at dawn, but nobody went there. And you can send me to bed or set me on fire, but I know where I'm heading, and I'm not going with you.
