RINGING BELLS
The bells on their paws are ringing,
two white poodles like fine cotton.
"The Wedding", meowing and singing,
for couple on cloud nine and moon.
Her eyes unveiled will make him swoon.
Daintily dance with hearts aflame
But all will disappear by noon
before the Bulldog comes to maim.
(love poem of animals with a twist
written in huitain form of eight syllables, ababbcbc)
(Revised)
Bells on their collars are ringing.
Two poodles, white as fine cotton.
"The Wedding" meowing or singing?
For duo way over the moon.
She twinkles her eyes and they swoon
a dainty dance with hearts aflame.
To vanish at twelve o'clock noon
before Mister Bull comes to maim!
