Retirement Location

The air was thick, and warm as the bright yellow sun covered the land with youth-felt radiance. Pavement baked under its glare and yet the atmosphere was very pleasant. Humidity is what the thickness was called by the weather channel, but to her it felt more like an air blanket surrounding the retirement village. Clay adobe like apartment buildings stood surrounding a central park area that had fountains gushing and babbling around stone flower creations and dancing children statues. The sound of the clear water as it bubbled was comforting. The air smelled pleasant; like the mixture of flowers, oranges, and mowed lawn. It didn't look like what one would expect for a retirement home, but then again, it wasn't an assisted living location. The apartments were for those who were retired but still capable of taking care of themselves and of course, it was in Florida.
