ELFIN MAGIC IN MY PUMPKIN!

It was a cold stormy Halloween night;
I cut into my pumpkin--what a fright!!
I'd heard small voices chanting, all day long,
but I was unprepared to find the throng

of elfin magic hiding inside there!
Where they had come from, I was not aware.
but welcomed them to my festivities--
it seemed all they experienced was glee!

The elves all introduced themselves aloud,
said of their magic mischief, they were proud!
Their magic led them to hide in my gourd
but after many days, they'd gotten bored!

Together, we carved out the pumpkin's face
but I could not keep up with their quick pace!
Their clever, skillful little hands worked fast;
their cute, creative art was ,made to last!

Delighted by our antics, we laughed on
until the haunted holiday was gone.
I'm glad I learned the mischief that they taught
and glad it was their pumpkin I had bought!
