That Instant

That instant my soul awakens
And eyes gaze upon God’s design
That instant I see God’s hand
In all destiny and creation
That instant my future comes to bare
And the past becomes meaningless
That instant I know I will walk boldly
Not with trepid steps though adversity
That instant I see forever
And am not afraid
That instant that which was lost is found
And the dead is risen
That instant I look into your eyes
I am both king and knave
All things possible and all things dreamed
Along with all things real are personified
As I look into the eyes of my hope
Then do I realize the blessings bestowed by God
For I look into the eyes of my wife
