Involuntary Act
Eyes enlarge in thick glasses; she reads with a reflecting iridescent into a computer screen. She sifts through the words correcting and critiquing for two eye straining hours. In a space missing a comma, she blinks a dry crust, moist. Her fingers fail to note the pause in the blinking second. She continues reviewing unaware.
