now that you’re gone
there’s a you shaped hole in my mind
that spreads out like a virus
into every inch of my world
nobody can see the absence of you
for less than a day
but it’s the potential that’s gone away

I have no future to work on
nothing has a point
the dishes will be there tomorrow
but I didn’t live just for you
so strange that I feel so much
for the lack of an us

the songs of sad love
are the siren’s calls from my Ipod
my own mind betrays me
because it wants this self pity
needs it like a drug
so I give in to my own pleadings

now that you’re gone
there’s no conclusion I can give
I know this road of torment will end
with the magical destination of being over you
but its too far to see
its all continuous present
all as grey as today
