Procrastination List

Short Term Procrastination

 A quick game of FreeCell, Hearts or Spider (okay, I tend to play Spider for thirty or forty minutes)

 Random hits looking for something to review for ACE’s

 Paying attention to the TV (which is always one) for ten minutes or so

 Instant Message people on Writing.Com

Long Term Procrastination

 A serious computer game for several hours

 Watching an old movie on TCM

 Go to bed early (but in all fairness, I do do a lot of pre-writing in bed)

Legitimate Reasons for Procrastination

 Driving to Texas for two days

 Driving from Texas for two days

 Packing and spending Thursday night with my friends

Tentative Schedule for NaNoWriting

 Block out the beginning on paper Saturday night.

 Get as much as possible done before anyone else arrives at Workshop Sunday

 Work between class and dinner Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights

 Try and ‘pre-write’ while hooking and make notes

 Set up the laptop Saturday night (Nov. 7th) and read through what I’ve gotten so far and get ready to really work on Sunday after I pick up ‘Boy’

 Then I must work consistently

I can do this…Not only will I produce the first draft of a novel in thirty days—it will be a great novel—that will sell!
