I had always believed,
that dreams are like sandcastles-
Both of these, very short-lived.
I have feared this always,
that gigantic waves of reality,
will shove my dreams away.
Until I saw a kid, lovely and agile,
was so happy building his sandcastle,
not fearing that it is so fragile.
That’s when I learned not to be attached.
The way of life, actually
is to learn to be detached.
I have to leave behind my vanity,
And just cherish every moment,
I guess doing so, is sanity.
