Pulling Enticingly At The Seams
Poem I wrote for someone

If I torch your name from memory,
It means to incinerate everything,
Desire encompassing our psyche,
Ignite dreams we both wish to offer.

A gaping hole I would rather leave,
Enticingly pulling at the seams,
I hope that you will never leave,
That part of me wants to scream.

At that seam you dare not embrace,
This feeling inside you can't exterminate,
Void that eats away at you insanity,
Pulls you slowly away from me.

Reclusive to my own desolate flame,
I can no longer hear you call my name,
Time has lost all reason resolve grows dim,
The urge to embrace the darkness within.

One thousand lives could leave this world,
None of them could correspond or equal you,
A place no abstract object or person could fill,
A life of immortally could not replace you,

Without that you I am truly nothing,
Nothing truly knows the pain ahead,
Ambiguity is now my only friend,
Lost in obscurity until the very end,

The day will come when the void will not be,
The substance to abolish that feeling inside me,
Purge the gaping hole I hide and the darkness inside,
Help me so I do not hurt any longer save me from this torture.

Will you be the one to keep enticingly pulling the strings?
Pulling the seam tearing away at the gaping hole inside me?
Will you be the substance to sustain me?
Will you truly stick around or disappear without a sound?
