Remember
A poem about Guy Fawkes night

This item requires reviews with ratings.
Remember, remember, the fifth of November,
when you light the bonfire,
And watch it burn until the last ember,
with the dummy on the pyre.

Remember, remember, as the Guy burns,
Changes which are foregone,
Do you take in when the day returns,
Which of the faces have gone?

Remember, remember, as you look on,
at the fireworks display,
everything that you have undergone,
since last Guy Fawkes day.

Do you celebrate the meaning of the day,
a king who was saved from doom,
or do you simply like the way,
that the fireworks hiss and boom?
