ThE CRaZY LaDY

She spoke to herself needing no confirmation.
She debated with herself needing no moderator.
She told jokes without the need of an audience.

A few found her amusing; laughing at her.
A few more showed their obvious unease by moving away.

I watched her though--with envy.
I had never seen a soul smile so freely.
I had never seen a soul living in
this world so care-free and happy.

I wanted to travel to where her mind was.
It must have been a beautiful place.
