I FEEL THE STORM I feel the storm coming, it’s brewing outside You take hold of my hand to stand by your side. No matter the reasons, being wrong or being right You demand me forever, on your side of the fight. I choose my conclusions, it’s my life not yours The key to our destiny opens different doors. My own consciousness tells me what I should do I can’t just ignore it and blindly follow you. To think that I should be loyal to the end Is a way to ignore that I’m more than a friend. If you really respect me, I shouldn’t have to remind That each individual should speak their own mind. So let the storm blow wildly and the thunder shout Feel the rain pour over and let all the tension out . Fierce wind slap me, hit me in my heart, Kick start my soul for I am ready to part And in the midst of confusion, I let go of your hand I look forward and search, for that promised land. Don’t be sad nor cry for me, for this is my fate, Please just smile and remember today is my date.
