Winds of Heaven

On this journey we are weary,
The way before us hard and long.
But I have a hand to hold in the darkness
My friend's love to keep me strong.

And when we rest along the wayside,
In the hours before the dawn,
We will set our hearts toward heaven
And together sing this song.

The wind will flow around us,
Its arms will hold us tight.
And joining with our voices,
The wind will make our song take flight.

To travel to the ends of the earth,
The far reaches of the sea.
And be heard by all weary travelers.
And set their hearts to eternity.

When the morning brings the sunrise,
And we ready ourselves to travel on.
The wind will go before us,
And will sing us heaven's song.

No matter how long the road may be,
Or how far upon it you and I must roam.
Hand in hand we'll sing the song of eternity,
And the winds of heaven will lead us home.
