NUDE BOYS ARE POPULAR FARE IN AMERICA

As far back as I can remember, young boys have either been filmed nude, or
have been depicted as being nude, in motion pictures. As I watched the T.V.
series, THE LITTLE RASCALS, in th company of my sistes and female cous-
ins, I was frequently embarrassd by scenes featuring naked boys.

Later films were worse. Such productions as THE REAVERS, MANNY'S ORPH-
ANS, THE GREAT PANDA ADVENTURE, LORD OF THE FLIES, AND NOW
AND THEN, feature scenes of nude boys------------usually with girls in the same
shot.

Even T.V. shows made for children, frequently use boy nudity for laughs. One
epidode of GEEKS AND FREAKS, had a boy dancing in his school's hallway,
clad only in a towel. Naturally, the towel falls off, while girls watch. In one epi-
sode of SAVED BY THE BELL, girls peep through a hole in the wall of their
locker room, at boys showeing, on the other side. This was played for laughs.
Had rolls been reversed, I am certain that the producers would have shown
the boys being caught in the act. A "teachable moment" would ensue, in
which the boys would confess their guilt, and proclaim their intention to
never again, disrespect the dignity of girlsl.

What I can never comprehend, is : 1. How can boys allow themselves to be
filmed nude, epecially with girls on the set, and 2. How can parents allow their
child (boy or girl), to be filmed nude, under ANY circumstnces?

I feel like I am yelling into a hurricane; no one seems to hear what I am saying.
Are America's boys, after all, here for the pruient plesure of a jaded society?
